Synopsis
In 1945, in the aftermath of World War II in Poland, Mathilde, a young French doctor working with the Red Cross, is tasked with aiding war survivors. Upon being asked for help by a nun, she is taken to a convent where several pregnant nuns are in hiding, struggling to reconcile their pregnancies with their religious beliefs. Mathilde becomes the only source of hope for the sisters.
