Synopsis

Daniel LaRusso, a teenager from New Jersey, moves to Los Angeles with his mother and soon begins a relationship with Ali. He soon becomes the target of bullying by a group of thugs led by Ali's ex-boyfriend, Johnny, who are students of karate at the Cobra Kai dojo under the strict instruction of sensei John Kreese. Fortunately, Daniel befriends Mr. Miyagi, a modest repairman who is also a skilled martial arts master. Miyagi takes Daniel under his wing, teaching him a more compassionate form of karate for self-defense and later preparing him to compete against the aggressive Cobra Kai.
