Synopsis

A sinister organization initiates a series of bold attacks with the goal of achieving world domination. Led by the malevolent Professor Gill, masked androids and menacing DARK Destructoid creatures terrorize civilians and cause chaos across Japan. A lone figure rises to confront the threat. Whenever DARK strikes, a denim-clad road warrior appears, playing a haunting melody on his guitar. His name is Jiro, and a hidden secret defines his solitary life. Jiro is a mechanical man. Vulnerable to Professor Gill's piercing flute that seeks to lure him to the DARK side, Jiro fights against the evil force by transforming into the powerful red-and-blue android known as Kikaida.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 13

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
