The Lexington Experience

Released: 1971Runtime: 85 min

Documentary

The film records events during the summer of 1970 that led up to a visit by the rock group Pacific Gas & Electric to the Federal Narcotics Rehabilitation Center in Lexington, Kentucky, where the group's manager, Frank Cook, had been an inmate ten years earlier. Two actual concerts are interwoven with interviews and conversation among the individual performers, who discuss their experience with drugs and their personal philosophies about music and life.
