The Library Wars: Book of Memories
Synopsis
Iku (Nana Eikura) joins the Library Defense Force after a team member retrieves an important book that was targeted for censorship. She is assigned to work under Atsushi’s (Junichi Okada) team, enduring his harsh treatment while searching for the person who retrieved her book. She also begins to develop feelings for Atsushi. Iku meets Marie (Tao Tsuchiya), a female high school student with a hearing disability and a childhood friend of Mikihisa (Kei Tanaka). Iku senses Marie’s strong feelings for Mikihisa. Asako (Chiaki Kuriyama) works as a clerk for the Library Task Force and regularly meets with curator Shuji (Aoi Nakamura), which causes complicated emotions for Hikaru (Sota Fukushi). One day, Mikihisa is arrested for recommending a book to Marie; the official reason given is that the book is unsuitable for disabled people. The arrest angers the members of the Library Task Force.
