The Major
Synopsis
On a cold winter day, police major Sergey Sobolev drives to the hospital where his wife is about to give birth. While driving at high speed, he strikes and kills a boy on a pedestrian walkway. Facing imprisonment or concealment, Sobolev enlists a colleague’s assistance in covering up the incident. The investigation becomes complicated, and when Sobolev later decides to rectify his actions, it proves too late.
