The Man Who Saved Christmas

Alfred Carlton Gilbert invented the Erector Set and is working to distribute it across the country. A.C. is unexpectedly summoned to the White House, where top officials request that he convert his toy factory into a weapons manufacturing company for the duration of the war. Saying "No" is not a viable option, as it could be seen as unpatriotic, so he agrees to the switch. Later, government officials ask A.C. to serve as their spokesman in a campaign encouraging people to forgo toy giving during the upcoming holidays in favor of purchasing war bonds. As a father with a young son who eagerly anticipates Christmas like any other child, A.C. faces a difficult decision.
