Synopsis

The film tells the true story of Helen Keller, a 7-year-old girl who has been blind, deaf, and unable to communicate since infancy. Her world is one of silence and darkness, and she has never seen the sky, heard her mother's voice, or expressed her innermost feelings. The arrival of Annie Sullivan, a 20-year-old teacher from Boston, marks a turning point. Having recently regained her own sight, Annie, a determined and no-nonsense educator, connects with Helen through the power of touch—their only shared means of communication. Through this connection, Annie guides Helen on a remarkable journey from fear and isolation toward happiness and understanding.
