The Mountain Head
Synopsis
A man known for his stinginess eats the pits of some cherries he refuses to throw away. A tree begins to sprout from the top of his head. He attempts to cut it down, but it regrows each time. Eventually, he stops trying and allows the tree to grow, but the crowds that gather on his head to enjoy the tree—and the large piles of trash they leave behind—become too much for him. He ultimately uproots the tree, leaving a crater on his head that fills with water and becomes a popular lake.
