The Night Stalker
Synopsis
Richard Ramirez, also known as the "Night Stalker," was a serial killer responsible for a string of murders, sexual assaults, and robberies in California during the mid-1980s. Between June and August 1985, Ramirez committed a series of violent crimes across Orange County, Los Angeles, and other parts of Southern California, instilling widespread fear among residents. His attacks often occurred at night, and he frequently targeted victims in their homes. Ramirez was arrested in Huntington Park, California, on July 28, 1985, following a police chase and a tip from a witness. During his trial, he was found guilty of 13 murders, five attempted murders, and numerous other charges. He was sentenced to death in 1989, and as of 2024, he remains on death row at San Quentin State Prison.
