The Paradise Virus
Synopsis
Dr. Linda Fleming (Melody Thomas Scott), a teacher and expert virologist, arrives at the tropical island of Barsarato to spend a short vacation with her eighteen-year-old son. She offers assistance to those affected by a virulent disease caused by an unknown virus transmitted to humans by chickens. Her efforts are hindered by the poor conditions of local hospitals and the limited cooperation of the local population, who place blind faith in Joseph (Ralf Moeller), a charismatic healer and leader of a religious community that promotes faith in God and alternative medicine.
