The Pastor's Wife
Synopsis
The film is based on the true story of Matthew Winkler, a beloved minister who was found shot and killed in his Selmer, Tennessee, home in 2006, with his wife and young daughters missing. Authorities quickly identified Matthew's wife, Mary, as the prime suspect in the murder. After her capture, the residents of Selmer were left to question what could have led Mary to shoot her husband in the back as he slept. During her trial, the events that had taken place behind closed doors in what appeared to be a perfect family were revealed in full.
