The Perfect Mother

After self-made immigrant Nico Podaras's death, his widow Elenie takes over his profitable garage and continues an illegal side business, using the profits to maintain control over their three sons. Dan, the least ambitious of the sons, is content to produce the necessary heir to keep his wild and immature wife, Charlene, in check, but he goes too far, prompting her to run off pregnant. The eldest son, John, abandoned his dream of running a fishery to work in the garage. When he marries Kathryn, she begins to question and resist Elenie's domineering influence, though she eventually gives Elenie a grandson. The resulting conflict intensifies, leaving John caught between competing loyalties.
