After years of traveling, Anya's parents decide to return from Australia to their native France, and she must attend a public school for the first time in her life. However, normal everyday school life quickly causes problems for the girl. On the first day, she is struck in the head with a soccer ball, and when no one apologizes, a violent argument immediately ensues. This incident marks a rocky start with the locals. Anya becomes an outsider, a status that does not particularly bother her. However, Zoé, Nils, and Jade, who are also somewhat different, take her under their wing, forming a new group. Meanwhile, Anya would prefer to befriend Nathan, the son of the school director, but he gives her the cold shoulder, as it would not be cool to show interest in girls in front of his friends. At the same time, the girls devise a plan to establish their place in the schoolyard. A real conflict erupts between the students, pitting the girls against the boys. But how far can a dispute between children go?
