Synopsis
Sevtap and Adem, who works as the neighbourhood postman, are in love. Sevtap remained single until she turned 30 because no one liked her; she is still a virgin and has settled for Adem. Her older brother Latif, raised in German culture and described as a fool, opposes their relationship. One day Sevtap and Adem send a telegram, using Sevtap’s father’s voice, to persuade him to accept the situation, after which wedding preparations begin. During this period Latif returns permanently from Germany to Turkey, and the truth about the couple is revealed. Latif opposes the marriage at any cost, even if it means harming Adem, but later he accepts the marriage despite his reservations and fulfills every request of Adem.
