The Pursuers

A group of former concentration camp prisoners has formed an underground network to hunt down Nazi leaders who remain at large. At a secret meeting in Paris, they discuss the case of Karl Brochmann, the former commandant of Auschwitz, who has lived in London for the past twelve years under the false identity of Karl Luther. Deciding to take the law into their own hands, they send one of their members, David, to London. David begins his mission by frightening Luther to observe his reaction. Already unsettled by news reports about the capture of Eichmann, Luther becomes increasingly anxious when he discovers that someone has broken into his apartment and painted a swastika on his mirror. Terrified, he withdraws all the money from his bank account, packs a bag with cash, and flees, pursued by David.
