Synopsis
The Ramones, consisting of Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee, Tommy, Marky, Richie, and C-Jay Ramone, outlasted most of their contemporaries in the punk scene. For over twenty years, they performed their signature garage-influenced, high-volume, and pop-tinged punk rock through a series of now-classic albums and 2,263 concerts together. This new two-DVD set captures the band's energy with over four hours of rare and previously unreleased live footage, offering a close-up view of their dynamic performances. The set spans their earliest shows at CBGB in lower Manhattan to international festivals in front of massive crowds. Titled *It's Alive 1974–1996*, it serves as a comprehensive look at the band's career. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002, the Ramones may no longer be active, but their sound and influence remain enduring.
