Synopsis
Reggie Reynolds is a high school student who excels academically but struggles on the basketball court. One day, he encounters a junk dealer who gives him a pair of old gym shoes that were once worn by a star player in the Negro Basketball Leagues of the 1930s. As soon as Reggie puts on the red sneakers, his basketball skills dramatically improve, and he begins playing like a superstar. His newfound talent draws the attention of a major shoe company executive, who offers Reggie a deal to switch from the old red sneakers to the company's brand. However, Reggie is aware that without the magical red sneakers, his performance will decline, and he will once again be on the sideline.
