The Sands of Dee
Synopsis
A young girl lives by the sea with her parents and becomes the object of affection for a local young man. One day, she meets an artist who is painting on the beach. He seduces her and gives her a ring, promising marriage. When the young man she admires comes to propose, she proudly announces her engagement to the artist. Shocked, he leaves, and her parents insist on meeting her future husband. She goes to bring him home but discovers he already has a sophisticated fiancée. Distraught, she hurries home, and when her father realizes what she has done, he orders her out of the house. As she wanders despondently along the sea, the young man who has learned about her betrayal immediately goes to see her. Finding she has been disowned by her father, he goes looking for her.
