Synopsis

In Saint Gilles, in the Brionnais, a region known for its churches and serene atmosphere, a more troubling mood begins to emerge as the past intertwines with the present. Antoine, a former journalist who later worked as a volunteer in humanitarian efforts, returns to France after enduring traumatic experiences in Mali. He comes to Saint Gilles to write an article on Romanesque art. There, he meets Constance, the attractive adoptive daughter of the innkeeper, Mrs. Naudy. Constance harbors her own secret, as she seeks the truth behind the death of her biological parents, Eva and Louis Lacassan, a truth long concealed from her. Meanwhile, Juju claims to see the ghost of Eva, a woman with red hair. Could this be a clue in Constance's investigation? As Antoine and Constance, both emotionally scarred, gradually come together, their shared journey may help them reach the conclusion of their respective quests.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 21

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
