The Screwball
Synopsis
It's the day of the big baseball game between the Drips and the Droops, and Woody Woodpecker is attempting to sneak into the ballpark without purchasing a ticket. A policeman repeatedly ejects him, but Woody evades detection by donning a baseball uniform—including a baseball cap, even though baseball players typically do not wear such headgear—and successfully gains entry. He soon becomes involved in the game, and in the chaos that follows, he is ultimately pinned to the scoreboard by a barrage of baseballs thrown by the crowd in the ballpark.
