Synopsis
Katie Lapp, a young Amish woman, has long sensed a void in her quiet, traditional life. That sense of incompleteness becomes more urgent when an outsider, an "Englisher," arrives in Lancaster County seeking the infant daughter Katie gave up for adoption nearly two decades earlier.
