Synopsis
In 1832, 22-year-old Raphaël is driven to the edge of suicide by his gambling debts. As he prepares to throw himself into the Seine, a shopkeeper offers him a mysterious "skin of sorrow," which promises to grant all his wishes at the cost of shortening the time he has left to live.
