Synopsis

The half-hour animated film *The Snail and the Whale* is based on the popular book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. It follows a young, restless snail who dreams of traveling the world, despite the other snails advising her to stay. She places an advertisement for a "Lift wanted around the world," which is answered by a large grey-blue humpback whale. Together, they embark on a journey across the seas, encountering towering icebergs, distant lands, fiery mountains, and golden sands. The snail enjoys the wonders of the world but eventually feels small in comparison.
