Synopsis
The Square examines the daily challenges faced by individuals striving to establish Egypt’s new democracy. The film centers on Cairo’s Tahrir Square, following several young activists. Motivated by their values, determination, music, humor, extensive use of social media, and unwavering persistence, they recognize that the difficult journey toward democracy only started with the fall of Hosni Mubarak. The ongoing struggle between the people and the state's power continues to unfold.
