The Storm
Synopsis
Set against the backdrop of the catastrophic 1953 flood that devastated the Dutch coastal province of Zeeland, the story follows Julia, a teenage mother who loses her baby son when their farmhouse is destroyed. She had hidden the child in a box, but they are separated during the disaster. Julia is rescued from drowning by a young air force lieutenant, who agrees to help her search for her missing son.
