Synopsis
The O'Neill family lived in their home in the Australian countryside until Peter, the father, died unexpectedly, leaving his wife Dawn to care for their four children. Eight‑year‑old Simone refuses to accept her father's death and believes he remains alive inside the large fig tree near the house, communicating with her through its leaves. As the tree grows increasingly invasive and threatens the home, it must be cut down, a decision Simone opposes.
