Synopsis
The Trench follows a group of young British soldiers in the summer of 1916, just before the Battle of the Somme, which is described as the worst defeat in British military history. Set against that backdrop, the film portrays their experience in a front‑line trench as a mix of boredom, fear, panic and restlessness.
