Synopsis
This programme explores the origins, development, and operation of the London Underground "Tube" system. In celebration of the 150th anniversary of The Tube, London Underground is arranging for an old Metropolitan steam locomotive to haul trains along the first section of line to open, the Metropolitan Railway from Paddington to Farringdon. At Farringdon, preparations are underway for a royal visit by Prince Charles and Camilla.
