Synopsis
Lucy is eleven years old and has been neglected by her estranged mother and father, leading to her placement in a children's home. Through her perspective, the story follows her struggle to cope with the system. Her only source of comfort and strength comes from her self-belief and the certainty that she is being watched over and protected by the holy spirit.
