Synopsis
The first filming of The Who's rock opera *Tommy* took place on December 14, 1969, at London's Coliseum. At the time, the band was at the height of its power, performing behind the Tommy concept and generating intense reactions wherever they played. This concert, though appearing rough and raw, showcases the band at their most aggressive and energetic. The performance opens with the powerful "Heaven and Hell," followed by the band delivering strong renditions of "I Can't Explain," "Fortune Teller," and "Tattoo," before moving into the more complex and conceptual material of the opera.
