Synopsis
Fogo is a windswept island located off the coast of Newfoundland, where the residents have traditionally lived by, on, and from the sea. In the film, William Wells, a fisherman, and his two sons take a break from their usual work with the nets to embark on a journey to the gannet colony on the Funk Islands, which lie fifty miles further out to sea. The film features exceptional close-up views of large flocks of seabirds swarming on the cliffs and in the sky.
