Synopsis
An early film by Stan Brakhage, commissioned by Joseph Cornell to document New York's Third Avenue elevated train before its demolition. The film curiously omits people, instead emphasizing the rhythms of the ride and reflections in train windows, presenting a real-world counterpart to the superimpositions Brakhage would later produce in the lab. It was preserved by the Academy Film Archive in 2005.
