Synopsis
Janet Gregory, a single mother with a troubled past, works as a paralegal and initially harbors doubts about Calvin Willis, an African-American husband and father who has been wrongfully accused of raping a local girl. As she becomes convinced of his innocence, Janet takes on his pro bono case, leading to a 22-year legal battle with the justice system. This struggle ultimately results in Calvin's vindication and the formation of a lasting friendship between the two.
