Synopsis
Iranian director Jafar Panahi was sentenced to six years in prison and banned from filmmaking and giving interviews to foreign media for 20 years due to his public support for the opposition during Iran's 2009 election. In this film, secretly shot by his close friend Mojtaba Mirtahmasb and smuggled into France via a USB stick hidden in a cake for a last-minute submission to Cannes, Panahi chronicles his daily life under house arrest while awaiting a decision on his appeal.
