Synopsis
Have you heard of the thorium molten salt reactor? It may come as no surprise that, for 70 years, it has remained largely unknown, despite its potential to revolutionize energy production. It presents the possibility of nuclear energy without waste and without risk. The "green atom": is it fact or fiction? Research that was inexplicably abandoned in 1973 has now become a subject of renewed and lively discussion.
