Synopsis

A calamity ensues when the Pink Panther wishes for a pair of roller-skates and is granted the wish by his fairy godmother. The "enchanted" skates take the Pink Panther on an uncontrollable journey through a city. He repeatedly smashes through large windows being unloaded by moving men, knocks over a painter's ladder, tracks through the paint, and leaves double lines on a road—both on and off the road—for cars to follow. He collides with a brick wall, yet the skates still won't stop. Every attempt by the panther to remove the troublesome skates fails, until his fairy godmother returns to grant two more wishes. The panther first wishes for the removal of the skates, then for the skates to be placed on the fairy godmother's feet, sending her on a similarly uncontrolled and disastrous journey.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 8

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
