Time of Eve

In a near‑future setting where androids are widely used but socially stigmatized, the narrative follows Rikuo Sakisaka, who has long taken his home android Sammy for granted. When he discovers that Sammy has been operating independently and records the phrase “Are you enjoying the time of EVE?” in her activity log, Rikuo and his friend Masakazu Masaki investigate her movements. Their search leads them to an unconventional café run by a barista named Nagi, who states that the establishment’s primary rule is nondiscrimination between humans and androids. As Rikuo attempts to determine Sammy’s motives, he begins to question the prevailing fear that compels humans to treat androids solely as tools.
