Tod einer Kadettin
Synopsis
Lilly Borchert enlists in the navy as a medical officer after graduating from high school, hoping to travel the world and prepare for a future in medicine. However, she quickly finds the strict rules and short nights challenging. Struggling to fit in with the close-knit crew under Captain Krug, she faces particular difficulty from Cadet Klara. Lilly documents her struggles, including sleep deprivation and abdominal pain, in a diary while counting down the days until she can return home. One night, while on lookout duty, a tragic accident occurs and Lilly goes overboard. Despite a search in the icy waters, she cannot be rescued. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance and how it came to pass remain unclear.
