Traumnovelle
Synopsis
After his wife makes a candid confession, a doctor is summoned to attend to a dying patient, setting in motion a chain of events that leads him to reunite with an old friend, a pianist who invites him to a mysterious ball where he is scheduled to perform. The story is based on the novel *Traumnovelle* (*Rhapsody: A Dream Novel*) by Arthur Schnitzler, which also served as the inspiration for the 1999 film *Eyes Wide Shut*.
