Trenck - Zwei Herzen gegen die Krone
Synopsis
Friedrich, Freiherr von der Trenck, son of a Prussian general, is a rebellious student known for numerous affairs and a talent for winning every duel he engages in. He is recruited by King Frederic II the Great to serve as part of his personal bodyguard. During his cadet training under the strict Graf von Jaschinsky, Trenck develops feelings for the king's strong-willed eldest sister, Amalia. However, she refuses to be married off to the heir of the Swedish king. As Prussia goes to war with Austria over Silesia, Trenck's loyalty is called into question due to his connection to an Austrian branch of his family. Graf Jaschinsky convinces the king that there is more to his concerns.
