Synopsis
Anyone who has seen a Trumbull sequence in Stanley Kubrick's *2001: A Space Odyssey*, Ridley Scott's *Blade Runner*, or Steven Spielberg's *Close Encounters of the Third Kind* has encountered his work. A respected special effects expert, Trumbull also directed two full-length films that made an impact on science fiction cinema: *Silent Running* and *Brainstorm*. Now in his seventies, Trumbull continues to pursue innovation and envisions a form of cinema that fully immerses the audience. *Trumbull Land* is an immersive portrait of Douglas Trumbull in his studios, offering a deep look into his cinematic vision.
