Turkish for Beginners
Synopsis
During an emergency landing on a deserted island, Lena Schneider is suddenly traumatized by an antiauthoritarian education system. Stranded with the Turkish "Super Macho" Cem Öztürk, she must fight for survival. Initially repelled by Cem's macho behavior—such as his reaction to a jellyfish in the water and her being covered in sand while wearing a bikini—Lena eventually recognizes the romantic core behind his cool facade. Meanwhile, their parents, psychologist Doris and Metin Öztürk, must work together to find their missing children. As a result, both generations take an involuntary Turkish Basic Course for beginners.
