Synopsis
Edgar is a young, upper-middle-class man nearing his 30th birthday who is experiencing a full-blown life crisis. His situation reflects that of many Brazilians, caught between a powerful but corrupt state that is abusive and neglectful in fulfilling its obligations to citizens, and an increasingly organized criminal underworld that brings violence into everyday urban life. In response, Edgar acts as a modern-day vigilante, using technology, counter-information, and manipulation to craft a clever strategy that exploits the greed of his adversaries to bring about their downfall. As the story progresses, more is revealed about the dark histories of the characters, with Edgar gradually piecing together an intricate and compelling narrative that drives the film.
