Synopsis
Before her 40th birthday, the accomplished surgeon Anne May begins to experience self-doubt. Despite having married her childhood sweetheart, Peter, and building a stable family life with him, Anne feels deeply unfulfilled. When Peter is away on a business trip, Anne meets Carolin Winter, the mother of a school friend of her son. The two quickly form a friendship, and Anne becomes drawn in by Carolin's vibrant and lively nature, which contrasts with her own sense of dissatisfaction.
