Undercover
Synopsis
In October 2015, French customs authorities intercepted seven tonnes of cannabis in the center of Paris. On the same day, Hubert Antoine, a former informant with a controversial history, reached out to Stéphane Vilner, a journalist at Libération. Antoine asserted he could prove the existence of a state-sanctioned drug trafficking operation led by Jacques Billard, a well-known media personality and senior French police official. Initially skeptical, the young journalist eventually embarked on an investigation that would take him into the most shadowy aspects of the French Republic.
