Synopsis
Caroline, a young waitress with poor judgment in romantic partners, is attacked by thugs one night on her way home. Adam, a mysterious busboy who works at the same diner, intervenes to help fend off the assailants, and the two begin a relationship. However, not everyone in their Minnesota community is supportive of their union. As their relationship develops, Caroline discovers details about Adam's past, including a unique health condition, which presents new challenges for the couple.
