Synopsis
Set in Baroque France, a cunning widow and her lover place a wager on the moral downfall of a newlywed woman. The lover, Valmont, claims he can seduce her despite her reputation for virtue. If he succeeds, he will be granted unrestricted access to his lover. However, during the course of his attempt to seduce the married woman, Valmont unexpectedly falls in love with her.
