“New Year musical”
Synopsis
In the remote Ukrainian village of Dykanka, Vakula, a poor but handsome young man, is in love with the beautiful Oksana. However, Oksana is waiting for a wealthy prince, and her father also disapproves of Vakula. On Christmas Eve, she sends him on an absurd quest to find dancing shoes, which leads him all the way to the imperial palace in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Along the way, he is assisted by a cast of eccentric villagers and the Devil himself.
