Synopsis

After the late Berlin artist Dorn neglected to pay his taxes or maintain contact with his family for years, his widow Erika and their two daughters are forced to urgently sell the lavish estate in Tuscany, which they had scarcely visited since his death. Eldest daughter Valerie, a junior partner in her fiancé Andreas Imdahl's growing architectural firm, travels ahead to negotiate with the appropriate buyer, Robert Beck, a fellow German, who has agreed through mayor-publican Fredo to retain caretaker Antonio "Toni" Gianni. When Andreas arrives, he discovers that Viviane is having an affair with her academic lover Stefan Korten, but becomes intrigued by Toni's daughter. The second daughter, Susi, and her fiancé, arts student Bruno Tomasi, have multiple announcements to make. Erika later arrives, revealing she has decided to sell the family home in Cologne instead, but Robert presents an alternative. Written by KGF Vissers.
